_{In the heart of Red Hook, there was once a bustling industrial district that provided jobs and economic growth for the community. But over time, many of the factories and warehouses that had once thrived began to shut down, leaving behind empty buildings and contaminated land. These abandoned sites became known as brownfields, and they posed a serious risk to public health and the environment. The soil was contaminated with hazardous materials, and the buildings themselves were often falling apart and unsafe.
For years, the brownfields of Red Hook were a blight on the community. They stood as a constant reminder of the decline of the neighborhood and the loss of its industrial heritage.}

Once upon a time, the brownfields of Red Hook were a source of shame and despair for the community. The activists began by cleaning up the contaminated soil and planting new vegetation that could thrive in even the harshest conditions. They also installed walking paths, benches, and other amenities to make the green spaces more accessible to everyone in the community.

this movie demonstrates the design strategies and a vision for Red Hook. With help of the music, the story board evokes nostalgia of old Red Hook, its cobble stones and hustle-bustle. The transformation and the ill effects of Huricane Sandy that paved a way of new thinking of a water city.

These elements are typologies to express different kinds of spaces that cluster to form a larger community space with different functions.
